Overview

In UBIK®, a Classification acts as a definition that imposes specific behavior on other MetaClasses and, consequently, on their instances. A Classification consists of a set of MetaProperties, where each property has:

A MetaClass fully implements a Classification only if it contains corresponding MetaProperties with the same name and same data type as defined by the Classification.

Example

The classification SYSCLS_GEO defines the following property:

Name Data Type
GEO Geographic Coordinate

When a MetaClass is classified with SYSCLS_GEO, it must implement the GEO property. Objects based on that MetaClass can then be treated as Points of Interest (POI).
